Kasia and her partner sought a raw, untouched attic—an opportunity to design from the ground up. When they discovered this Kreuzberg space, with its soaring ceilings and open layout, they knew it was the perfect foundation for their dream home. With a clear vision, they saw beyond its limitations and envisioned a stunning art sanctuary that would reflect their creative lifestyle.

Sloped ceilings and unusual angles can pose design challenges, but Kasia transformed these quirks into advantages. Custom-built storage solutions seamlessly integrate into the architecture, while the impressive ceiling height maintains a sense of openness. From the beginning, Kasia worked closely with a structural engineer to ensure that functionality and beauty coexisted. The result is a dynamic space featuring an open-plan living area, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a creative gallery, and a personal design studio. Each room is crafted with adaptability in mind, allowing the space to evolve alongside the family’s needs, further cementing its role as an art sanctuary.

The Statement Feature: A Chimney Wall That Defines the Space

One of the most striking features of the apartment is the floor-to-ceiling chimney breast clad in sculptural fluted wood panels. Acting as the focal point of the living space, it exudes warmth and artistic elegance.
